About Us

Teets scrap was founded in the 1960’s by Richard Teeter. The original company is located in the town of Enfield, part of the Ithaca Tompkins County Residence. After closing down for a few years, in 2005 Richard Teeter Jr. reopened the business calling it Teets and Son Scrap Metal Recycling. Over the years Teets and Son has steadily grown to be one of the premier scrap metal recycling centers in and around the Ithaca Tompkins County area.

In 2012 we open a second location in the town of Groton to service the scrap metal recycling needs for Cortland, Groton, Lock, Dryden and surrounding areas. In addition to offering scrap recycling at their Groton location, Teets & Sons also offer a u-pull auto parts yard were you can purchase used parts for your vehicle for a fraction of new and used by pulling them yourself.

We also added a wide variety of scrap metal pickup services to help you get your scrap metal to us to be recycled. From a old car or pickup truck to bulldozers and cranes. We can help you get it taken care of. In addition, we have a roll-off container rental service where we can drop off roll-off containers to houses, schools, shops, etc. for larger jobs.
